Node Backend Developer

As a Node Developer at Starberry, a decentralised global digital media agency with a specialization in UX/UI, website design & development, and digital marketing, you will be responsible for building high-performance, robust, and scalable web components for our applications. We have a presence in London, UK, and a hub in Coimbatore, India, and we are seeking individuals with 3-7 years of experience in this field. In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines with minimal supervision. You will be part of a dynamic team that utilizes a tech stack including NodeJS (Express JS), NoSQL (MongoDB), RDBMS (MySQL), React JS, Redux, GraphQL, CDN (S3), Webpack, AWS, Git, and Headless CMS (Preferred: Strapi), among others. Familiarity with Gatsby, Netlify Deployment, JamStack methodology, DynamoDB, and PHP is considered a plus. Your responsibilities will include contributing high-quality code to a fast-growing React - Node JS team, collaborating with developers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver robust software solutions in an agile environment, and providing custom NPM packages. You will also be expected to ensure code standards and best practices are implemented, participate in peer code reviews, and contribute to project planning and technical decision-making. To excel in this role, you must have a very strong knowledge and extensive experience with Node JS, PHP, MySQL, single-page JavaScript applications with large codebases, NoSQL (MongoDB), GraphQL, and AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and Dynamo DB. Proficiency in Git, Github, and version control workflows is essential, as well as business-level competency in both written and spoken English due to the international nature of the team. Desired skills include knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling, as well as familiarity with Github Actions.
