As our Founding Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in building and scaling the backend infrastructure for our core voice AI product. Your responsibilities will include making informed decisions on architecture, system design, infrastructure, and performance optimization. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a growing engineering team, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and guidance to succeed. One of your key tasks will be to own the technical roadmap and collaborate closely with the co-founders to align the technology strategy with the overall business objectives. While fulfilling these leadership responsibilities, you will also stay hands-on by writing clean and efficient code primarily in Go and Python. This hands-on approach will allow you to maintain a deep understanding of the product and technology stack. Furthermore, you will work in close coordination with AI specialists, product managers, and customer success teams to deliver a seamless and high-quality experience to our clients, particularly those in the high-stakes BFSI sector. Ensuring security, uptime, and compliance will be paramount in meeting the expectations of these clients. In terms of technology stack, you will be proficient in languages such as Go and Python, and have experience with infrastructures like AWS, Docker, Postgres, and Redis. Familiarity with AI technologies such as LLMs, NLU/NLP APIs, as well as CI/CD, logging, and monitoring tools will be essential for success in this role. To excel in this position, you should ideally possess 5-10 years of backend engineering experience and have a track record of scaling systems from 0 to 100+ users. Your passion for clean code, system design, and solving complex infrastructure challenges will set you apart. Previous experience in leading or mentoring development teams will be beneficial, as you will be expected to take ownership and drive results in a high-growth voice AI startup environment. If you have prior experience in developing AI/LLM/NLP or voice-based products, or have worked in fintech, BFSI, or startup environments, it would be considered a bonus. This additional expertise can further enhance your contributions to our team and the impact we aim to create in the market.
