We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our Direct Taxation division. The role requires comprehensive experience and knowledge in Income Tax compliances, advisory, litigation support, and client handling. The candidate will work on a wide range of tax assignments for individuals, corporates, firms, trusts, and non-residents. Responsibilities Key Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Tax Compliance & Return Filing Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns for all types of assessees – Individuals, HUFs, Firms, LLPs, Companies, Trusts, AOPs, etc. Ensuring accurate computation of income and tax liability in accordance with prevailing laws. Preparation and filing of revised returns, updated returns and rectification applications under section 154. Computation of quarterly Advance Tax liabilities for clients. 2. Tax Audit & Trust Audit Conducting Tax Audits under section 44AB, including preparation and finalization of Tax Audit Reports (Form 3CD). Conducting audits of Charitable and Religious Trusts under the Bombay Public Trust Act and Income Tax Act (Form 10B / 10BB). Assisting in compliance related to Form 10, 9A, 10BD, and 10BE. 3. Technical Advisory & Research Providing technical interpretations on provisions of the Income Tax Act, DTAA, and related circulars and judicial precedents. Taxation of Non-Residents, including Permanent Establishment (PE) issues, royalty/FTS taxation, and section 195 compliance. Advisory on residential status, income accrual and deemed accrual, place of eective management (POEM), etc. 5. Representation & Litigation Support Handling assessment proceedings before the Income Tax Department – including scrutiny assessments (section 143(3)), reassessments (section 147), and faceless assessments. Drafting and filing of replies to notices under sections 142(1), 148, 133(6), etc. Preparation of submissions, representation before CIT(A) and drafting of appeals and rectifications. 6. Data Analytics & Issue Resolution Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify tax risks, resolve client issues, and suggest tax-eicient solutions. Qualifications & Skills: Inter CA (no longer continuing CA Course), 1–3 years of relevant experience in Direct Tax) Strong working knowledge of the Income Tax Act, Rules, DTAA provisions, and relevant judicial pronouncements. Practical experience in handling tax audits and trust audits. Good drafting, communication, and client-handling skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments. Added Advantage (Preferred but not mandatory): Knowledge of utility-based return filing tools (e.g. Spectrum) Working knowledge of faceless assessments and e-proceedings. Familiarity with tools like Excel VBA for data handling. Knowledge of FEMA and its tax implications for NRIs.
