New Product Development Manager - Chillers

As a Mechanical Engineer at Blue Star, your role involves ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for one complete vertical of the Chiller Business. This includes responsibilities such as: - Compliance with standards such as ASHRAE, ECBC, BIS, and Star Labelling Program - Verification of Engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) and costing of products - Design, development, and documentation of products - Preparation of performance rating charts, technical specifications, and rating software data - Component selection, system integration, and timely project delivery as per schedule In your day-to-day tasks, you will be expected to: - Possess in-depth knowledge of Heat Exchanger Design (Thermal & Mechanical) - Utilize Product Selection Software for heat exchanger and compressor simulation - Conduct Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Serviceability (DFS) reviews - Provide support to Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) for new product launches - Collaborate with Manufacturing and Sales Teams to provide technical support - Enhance New Product Development (NPD) quality through design optimization Your success in this role is dependent on your qualifications and experience: - B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience - At least 8 years of experience in chiller design, preferably in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Category - Proficiency in BOM verification, product costing, component selection, and system design - Familiarity with national and international standards for Air Conditioning Chiller products - Knowledge of compressors, manufacturing processes, materials, and performance rating charts - Experience with Thermal & Mechanical design software like UNILBA, HTRI, PV-Elite, and Compress This position is based in Kapurbawdi, Thane, offering you the opportunity to be part of a dynamic community at Blue Star.
