Job Description

assesses, plans, and implements specialized treatment for patients with neurological conditions to maximize their function and independence

Patient assessment:
Conduct highly specialized assessments to diagnose and understand neurological conditions, including analyzing symptoms related to movement, balance, and spasticity.
Treatment planning:
Develop and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans that may include hands-on techniques, prescribed exercises, and assistive technology to improve movement and functional independence.
Patient and family education:
Provide comprehensive education and training to patients and their families on managing their condition and performing exercises at home.
Rehabilitation coaching:
Act as a coach, guiding patients through repetitive exercises to help their brain create new pathways (neuroplasticity) to recover lost function.
Team collaboration:
Liaise with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
Record keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, reports, and statistics in line with professional standards.
Professional development:
Stay current with the latest evidence-based practices and participate in mandatory training.
