Role & responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Apps Finance Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing, implementing, and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Finance modules while ensuring that month-end closing processes are smooth and accurate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong balance of functional and technical expertise, particularly in the Oracle Financials (AP, AR, GL, FA with EBTax ) modules, with a solid understanding of accounting processes and month-end financial reporting. As a Functional Leader , you will lead and guide the team on financial system configurations, customizations, and integrations, and work closely with the Finance and IT departments to optimize the system for month-end close activities and other financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Month-End Closing & Financial Reporting: Manage Month-End Closing : Oversee the month-end closing process in Oracle Financials, ensuring accurate posting of transactions, reconciliations, and timely financial reporting. Support Financial Teams : Work with the Finance team to resolve any month-end issues, including journal entries, Reconciliations, and report generation. Financial Reporting : Ensure accurate and timely generation of Balance Sheets , Profit & Loss Statements , and other key financial reports using Oracle Financials. Implementation & Configuration: Lead Maintenance : Manage and lead the maintenance part of Oracle EBS Financials modules including Accounts Payable (AP) , Accounts Receivable (AR) , General Ledger (GL) , Fixed Assets (FA) , and Cash Management and EBTax . System Configuration : Configure Oracle Financial modules based on business needs and regulatory requirements, ensuring smooth integration with other modules (Procurement, Inventory, etc.). Customization & Enhancements : Work with the technical team to design and implement custom reports, interfaces, and workflows that align with the financial closing process. Ongoing Support & Maintenance: Functional Support : Provide day-to-day support for Oracle Financials users, resolving issues related to accounting entries , financial processes , and month-end reconciliations . System Optimization : Identify system enhancements and process improvements to streamline financial operations, particularly around month-end closing and reporting. Issue Resolution : Troubleshoot financial transaction issues, error messages, and discrepancies in reports and ensure proper resolution. Testing & Quality Assurance: UAT (User Acceptance Testing) : Lead testing for new configurations, enhancements, and fixes related to financial modules, ensuring all changes align with business requirements and month-end processes . Documentation : Prepare comprehensive documentation of configurations, customizations, and testing results. Training & Documentation: User Training : Conduct training sessions for end-users on Oracle Financial modules and month-end processes. Ensure users understand how to use the system for month-end closing and other critical financial operations. Process Documentation : Create and maintain detailed documentation on financial processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to Oracle Financials. Continuous Improvement: Process Improvements : Identify opportunities for process optimization, particularly in the month-end closing process, and work with the business to implement best practices. Stay Current with Oracle Updates : Keep up-to-date with Oracle Financials product updates, new features, and enhancements to continuously improve system efficiency. Key Skills & Qualifications: Education : Bachelors degree in Finance , Accounting , Computer Science , Information Systems , or a related field. Experience : Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Techno-Functional Consultant with a focus on Oracle Financials (AP, AR, GL, FA) modules. Proven experience in month-end closing processes, financial reporting , and accounting practices. Strong understanding of Oracle R12 and/or Oracle Cloud Financials (Fusion) . Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and a proven ability to lead financial system implementations and optimizations. Technical Skills : Proficiency in SQL , PL/SQL , and Oracle Reporting tools such as BI Publisher , Oracle Reports . Experience with Oracle Forms , Oracle Workflow , OAF and Oracle Web ADI (Application Desktop Integrator) is a plus. Knowledge of Oracle Integration technologies (OIC) for connecting Oracle Financials with third-party systems is a plus. Soft Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, especially in financial accounting and reporting. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with both business users and technical teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure, especially during month-end and year-end close. Preferred candidate profile Oracle ERP R12 experience is highly desirable. Oracle Financials Certification (AP, AR, GL, FA, EBTax) is a plus. Experience with Agile project management methodologies. Familiarity with tax and regulatory compliance for financial processes. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between facility management needs and Oracle systems, ensuring efficient maintenance, asset tracking , space planning, and vendor management, real estate management, material inventory management , cost management and budgeting etc. Key Responsibilities: Implement and manage facility-related modules in Oracle Applications (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (eAM), Procurement, Projects, Inventory). Configure Oracle systems to support facility management operations such as maintenance planning, asset lifecycle, service requests, space utilization, real estate management , material inventory management and cost management and budgeting. Collaborate with the facilities and IT teams to streamline workflows and automate routine tasks. Generate reports and dashboards on facility KPIs, asset performance, and maintenance history. Support end-users by resolving functional and technical issues related to Oracle facilities modules. Coordinate with Oracle support or consulting partners as needed for enhancements or troubleshooting. Working knowledge of SAP core modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.). Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in global, fast-paced environments. Preferred Qualification SAP S/4HANA certification (functional or technical). Experience with Agile or hybrid project delivery. Industry exposure in manufacturing, retail, logistics, or similar domains . Familiarity with SAP integration tools (PI/PO, BTP, etc.) and third-party vendors.
