The Embedded Software Design Internship at MIPS offers 6-month to 1-year opportunities for graduates from the year 2026 onwards. As an intern in this role, you will be responsible for working on firmware, real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS and Linux, as well as device drivers for high-performance processors and microcontrollers. Lead the architecture, design, and development of firewall features (e.g., packet filtering, DPI, NAT, ACLs, VPN, etc.) in embedded systems. Work closely with product management and other stakeholders to define system requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Guide the team in low-level programming (C/C++), Linux kernel, and real-time OS for network/firewall appliances. Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of firewall modules. Drive code reviews, design reviews, and maintain best practices in secure coding and unit testing.
