As a Server Engineer at NTT DATA in the APAC region, you will be a part of the NTT Global Data Center Japan/APAC's IS Department located in Singapore. Your primary responsibility will be to support the daily operation of the server service infrastructure while also participating in project work as per business and client requirements. Reporting to the Director APAC Information Systems, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing server equipment including physical, virtual, and/or cloud servers. Key Responsibilities: - Designing, Implementing, Managing Server equipment such as physical, virtual, and/or cloud servers. - Server virtualization including VM based and Container-based systems. - Designing, implementing, and managing HCI platform in the Data Center premise to provide compute resource for DC management servers. - Collaborating with network, security, and other SMEs to deploy and manage the server service platform. - Providing Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently. - Offering internal technical support and serving as an escalation point for support engineers on complex networking and technical matters. - Coordinating with on-site engineers and contractors during the provisioning process of any server platform related services, including data cabling. - Participating in or leading local and global projects. - Being part of an on-call rotation for out-of-hours server service support. - Undertaking any other duties relevant to the position and the company's operations as we are a small team managing a large infrastructure. To excel in this role, you should have: - Previous experience in an IT Department within a Data Center is desirable. - Knowledge of Server OS like Windows/Linux, Hyper Scaler Cloud services such as MS Azure/AWS/Google Cloud, and Container virtualization. - Familiarity with Server platforms including Physical (HCI) and Virtual (VM/Container), as well as general network base services like DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTPS, SNMP, and SSH. - Willingness to engage in hands-on tasks involved in building and running data centers. - Flexibility to travel to different locations on short notice. - Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders from various business areas/functions to facilitate projects. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing or a related field. - Relevant IT certifications such as ITIL and Microsoft 365.
