Network Operations Engineer (L3)

Role Overview: As an L3 Technician, your primary responsibility will be to deep-dive troubleshoot MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE), VPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, and IPTV multicast/unicast issues. You will handle escalated incidents and high-impact outages, including backbone failures and BGP flaps. Configuration and troubleshooting of PE/CE routers, BRAS/BNG, and core aggregation switches will also be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will be involved in traffic engineering, route leak analysis, protocol optimization, provisioning new leased lines, and managing IPTV channels. Key Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE), VPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, and IPTV multicast/unicast issues - Handle escalated incidents and high-impact outages - Configure and troubleshoot PE/CE routers, BRAS/BNG, and core aggregation switches - Perform traffic engineering, route leak analysis, and protocol optimization - Manage provisioning of new leased lines and IPTV channels - Liaise with upstream providers and NLD/transit vendors - Mentor L2 engineers and conduct knowledge transfer sessions - Maintain SLA and KPI, KRA - Create and review low-level design (LLD) documents and MOPs Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in NOC/Core Networking (ISP environment) - CCNP / JNCIP / HCIP or equivalent certification - Hands-on experience in MPLS/VPLS/IPTV - Good documentation and RCA writing skills Additional Details: The company follows a 24x7 rotational shift schedule, including night/weekend shifts. On-call duties are required during critical events for L3 Technicians. Reporting and escalation structure involves L2 reporting to NOC Supervisor/L3 team and L3 reporting to NOC Manager/Network Design team.
