Network Engineer/Network Administrator

• Technical Skills:

• Expert knowledge of Layer 3 networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Strong knowledge in advanced configuration and troubleshooting on network devices like routers and switches (Cisco, Juniper, Arista)
• Familiarity with network segmentation, VLANs, MPLS, and spanning tree protocols
• Understanding of network security concepts and implementation
• Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies
• Experience with network monitoring (Nagios, SolarWinds, etc) and analysis tools as well as experience with performance tuning.
• Experience with Firewalls and its concepts (Palo alto, Sophos, Fortinet)
• Strong knowledge in network security and end point security.
• Familiarity with wireless LAN controllers, access points, and technologies like 802.11ac/ax, WPA3, and network security for wireless networks.

• Problem-solving abilities:

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
• Critical thinking and analytical skills to identify root causes
• Effective troubleshooting methodology for escalated network problems

• Design and architecture expertise:

• Understanding of network design principles, including redundancy, scalability, and high availability
• Ability to create and implement network architecture plans
• Knowledge of network capacity planning and optimization

• Project management skills:

• Experience in network projects, including end to end implementation and migration of network architecture.
• Ability to manage timelines, budgets, and project deliverables.

• Communication and collaboration skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain technical concepts to stakeholders
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with vendors and customers

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, network engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 6-8 years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a focus on Layer 3 protocols
• Relevant network certifications like CCNP, CCIE or equivalent.
• ITIL V4 certifications will be added advantage.
