Job Description

As a Customer Success Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that enterprise-level customers have a positive experience with their switch and router networking services. Your primary responsibility will be to address customer issues, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance and support as needed. To excel in this role, here are the key skills and knowledge requirements: Networking Expertise: You should possess strong technical skills and in-depth knowledge of L2/L3 switching and routing systems, as well as familiarity with security, tunnelling, network service protocols, and Quality of Service (QoS) networking. Possessing relevant industry certifications like CCNP (routing and switching) would be highly advantageous. Network Design and Configuration: Your ability to design and configure switching networks that align with customer business requirements and industry best practices will be essential. This may involve tasks such as installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network equipment such as switches, routers, and security gateways. Security: A solid understanding of network security protocols and best practices is crucial. You should be adept at configuring and managing security features such as authentication, ACLs, port security, VLANs, and 802.1x. Troubleshooting: Your proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and identifying problems within the network infrastructure will be vital. This includes addressing connectivity issues, configuration errors, VLAN setups, STP configurations, port security, and QoS settings. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and protocols like Wireshark, Zabbix, and Nagios will also be beneficial. Communication Skills: Effective communication is key. You should be able to clearly articulate technical issues and solutions to non-technical customers and collaborate efficiently with internal teams such as sales and product management. Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills are essential. You should be capable of handling customer complaints and inquiries professionally and promptly. Problem-Solving Skills: Your ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues and think innovatively to find solutions will be critical to your success in this role. Attention to Detail: Maintaining a high level of attention to detail is necessary to ensure that all issues and potential areas for improvement are identified and addressed effectively. With 4-8 years of experience, you are expected to bring a wealth of expertise to the table and play a pivotal role in the success of our enterprise customers.,
