As a Product Support Engineer for the NextGen connectivity platform at our company, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced-level technical support to customers facing complex network issues. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing technical support to customers on routing, switching, and security technologies. - Analyzing and troubleshooting network-related problems using advanced methodologies, tools, and protocols. - Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, effectively communicating technical issues and providing timely resolutions. - Escalating unresolved issues to higher-level support or engineering teams when necessary. - Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to expedite issue resolution and ensure customer satisfaction. - Documenting troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing. - Staying updated on industry trends and pursuing professional development opportunities. To excel in this role, you will need: - 2-5 years of experience in network engineering or technical support with a focus on advanced troubleshooting. - Strong foundational knowledge in TCP, ARP, Subnetting, MTU, TTL, and common Header information. - Experience with network troubleshooting tools and protocols like Wireshark and SNMP. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. - Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or relevant associate/professional certifications. Preferred qualifications include: - Experience in a technical assistance center or similar customer support environment. - Good routing and switching basics. - Familiarity with VMWARE ESXi would be an additional benefit.
