Network Automation Engineer

Role: Network Automation Engineer Location: Hyderabad Experience: L3 (5-8 years) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Network Automation Expert to lead the design, deployment, and automation of advanced network infrastructures within a banking environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Ansible, Python, and Terraform, with proven experience in deploying and managing Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions. Secondary skills in Routing & Switching, Cloud Networking (AWS/Azure), and SD-WAN are highly desirable. This role demands a proactive professional capable of driving automation initiatives, optimizing network operations, and ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant network deployments. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement network automation workflows using Ansible, Python, and Terraform. Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of SDN environments (e.g., Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, OpenFlow). Develop and maintain reusable automation scripts and modules for network operations and change management. Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git). Collaborate with network architects, DevOps, and security teams to streamline infrastructure deployment and compliance. Maintain and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices for network components. Troubleshoot and optimize automated network deployments across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Document automation processes, standards, and best practices for operational excellence. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 6 years of experience in network engineering and automation. Strong hands-on proficiency in Ansible, Python scripting, and Terraform. Experience with SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of Routing & Switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP). Experience with cloud networking in AWS and/or Azure. Familiarity with SD-WAN solutions (e.g., Cisco Viptela, Fortinet). Knowledge of REST APIs and network programmability. Experience with Git, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
