Role & responsibilities Database Design & Modelling : Define and implement efficient database schemas, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and optimized performance. Stored Procedures & Views: Develop, optimize, and maintain complex stored procedures, views, and functions for business logic implementation. Query Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize SQL queries , indexing strategies, and partitioning to enhance system performance. Change Data Capture & Replication: Implement database replication and CDC strategies for real-time data synchronization and reporting needs. Database Governance & Best Practices: Ensure best practices in database design, indexing, and transaction management to support high availability and fault tolerance. Integration with .NET & GraphQL : Work closely with the . NET and GraphQL API teams to design efficient database interactions and optimize data retrieval. Data Security & Compliance: Ensure that database solutions follow security best practices and meet compliance requirements for data protection. Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with solution architects, developers, and DevOps teams, providing guidance on database best practices. Automation & Monitoring: Leverage database monitoring tools and implement automation for performance tracking and anomaly detection. Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in database design, modelling , and optimization for enterprise applications. Expertise in writing and optimizing stored procedures, views, functions, and complex SQL queries . In-depth knowledge of indexing strategies, partitioning, and query performance tuning. Experience with database replication, Change Data Capture (CDC), and high-availability strategies. Hands-on experience with .NET and GraphQL , ensuring efficient database integration. Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance standards. Experience working with large-scale transactional and analytical databases. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks. Excellent collaboration skills to work with architects, developers, and DevOps teams.
