Job Overview The Business Development Manager (BDM) will drive growth for our furnishing brand by identifying new business opportunities, expanding retail and distribution channels, and building lasting relationships with B2B and B2C clients. This role involves strategic planning, lead generation, and execution of business initiatives to strengthen the brand’s market position and increase revenue. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities with retail partners, interior designers, hospitality clients (e.g., hotels, resorts, serviced apartments), and e-commerce platforms. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with distributors, franchisees, and key accounts. Plan and execute business expansion strategies in untapped territories or markets. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to launch new collections and promotional campaigns. Conduct competitor analysis to understand market trends, pricing, and customer preferences. Develop sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans aligned with company objectives. Negotiate and finalize business contracts, ensuring profitable outcomes and long-term partnerships. Visit key clients and attend trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry events to represent the brand. Provide insights and feedback to improve product offerings, merchandising, and in-store experience. Track business performance through CRM tools and prepare regular reports on revenue growth and market development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (MBA preferred). 4–8 years of proven experience in business development, preferably in home furnishing, furniture, mattress, or lifestyle retail industries. Strong network in B2B and B2C retail segments (dealers, architects, interior designers, and hospitality partners). Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM tools MS Office Suite. Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities. Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and trade events.
