Job Description

Role Overview: As a qualified UT Inspector, you will be responsible for setting up, calibrating, and operating ultrasonic testing equipment to perform inspections in accordance with certification requirements. Your role will involve interpreting UT indications, evaluating them against relevant standards, and applying UT techniques to inspect aerospace components within qualification limits. Additionally, you will be preparing and maintaining accurate inspection records and test reports, identifying expected discontinuities, and assisting in drafting procedures and instructions for Level I personnel. Key Responsibilities: - Set up, calibrate, and operate ultrasonic testing equipment - Interpret UT indications and evaluate them against applicable standards - Apply UT techniques to inspect aerospace components within qualification limits - Prepare and maintain accurate inspection records and test reports - Identify types and locations of expected discontinuities - Assist in preparing procedures, techniques, and codes of practice - Train and guide Level I inspectors and trainees - Ensure traceability and identification of material/components - Participate in 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives - Work in compliance with safety, risk management, and environmental guidelines Qualification Required: - Level 2 certification in NDT/ASNT as per NAS410 (UT) - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field - Strong knowledge of UT principles, techniques, and limitations - Hands-on experience in aerospace or manufacturing NDT inspections - Familiarity with industry standards: NAS410, ASTM, ASME, AS9100, NADCAP - Proficient in operating UT equipment (conventional and digital) - Strong analytical and defect-evaluation skills - Excellent communication and reporting abilities - Ability to work independently and collaboratively - Prior experience in aerospace/manufacturing industries preferred - Commitment to workplace safety and quality Please note that the Job Types for this position are Full-time and Permanent.
