You will be responsible for assigning cable and pair and/or office equipment to POTS/ADSL/Fiber service orders that require manual intervention. This includes processing line changes and/or assigning slots and ports to service orders. You will also provide and update assignments for various network copper and fiber network elements for Installation and Repair when necessary. In addition, you will be providing support for fiber technicians unable to activate service orders, ONTs, and investigating and resolving assignment issues. Supporting field technicians troubleshooting copper ADSL issues, correcting the assignment of facilities and equipment on service orders, and rectifying errors within various systems like COMPAS, OS/PLANT, OS/ORDER, Provision Center, Granite, Triad, and Looking Glass will also be part of your responsibilities. You will be resolving discrepancies for both Residence and Business customers, reviewing and resolving customer-related DSL issues submitted via Aegisweb, and performing MLT testing for technicians via Loopcare. Referring service orders to OS Plant Engineering and the Cable Maintenance Center when no qualified facilities are available for Dial tone and/or High-Speed data will also fall under your duties. Administering the Line & Number database, assisting customer contact organizations with service orders requiring TN assignment expertise, and investigating and resolving problems in conjunction with various departments regarding assignment, translation, and provisioning of slots and ports will be essential tasks. Providing database support activity on multiple systems and preparing/administering all Trunk/Prime Advantage orders related to DSL service will also be part of your role. Education required for this position is a minimum of four years of High School or equivalent. A CCNA or equivalent certification is also necessary.
