MYP music teacher

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru for a Middle Years Programme (MYP) Music Teacher. The MYP Music Teacher will design and deliver engaging music lessons that align with the principles of the MYP framework. Responsibilities include teaching Music Theory and Performance, conducting practical music sessions, fostering students creativity, and encouraging an appreciation for various musical styles and traditions. The role also involves developing assessments, providing constructive feedback, and participating in faculty and extracurricular activities to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Music Theory and Music Education
• Proficiency in Music Performance and experience in teaching music practices
• Ability to play and teach Piano, along with other instruments if applicable
• Passion for creative teaching methods and fostering a love for music in students
• Possession of a degree in Music Education, Music, or a related field
• Familiarity with the Middle Years Programme (MYP) or IB curriculum is an advantage
• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to work collaboratively with faculty
