How You Will Contribute Test and Automation Engineer will be responsible for setting up platform-dependent current and next-generation packet software features test setups encompassing the broad spectrum of CIENA's networking products.You will get an opportunity to work on TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) Circuit Emulation (CEM) features with synchronization information through the use of various Transport technologies (packet network). RSP QA/PV team charter is to execute manual testing & automation of new features, validate deployment use-cases of major customers involving both Ciena and third-party devices. Responsibilities Include Work closely with engineers within and across teams to ensure quality coverage for the features. Generate test plans and perform end to end Routing and Switching system testing of new software features. Coordinate activities with Gurgaon and North America test and development teams on need basis. Contribute actively on FS, Test plans, Automation Scripts, Customer Documentation update and review. Participate in group design meetings and internal brainstorming sessions to discuss problems and solutions. Writing and Execution of manual and automation suites and reporting test results with artifacts. Detailed knowledge of Routing and Switching protocols and at ease to ramp up quickly on new technologies and concepts. Expertise on TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) Circuit Emulation (CEM) features with synchronization information. Required Skill Experience with the scripting languages like Python and proven ability to automate. Team oriented, strong inter-personal skills and ability to understand feature needs, expectations and perspective. Experience with networking models and protocols. Position requires proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Understanding of advanced concepts/methodology and contributes to improving and extending the impact and effectiveness of those concepts in the features. Expertise on TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) Circuit Emulation (CEM) features with synchronization information. Expertise on TDM/CEM/Networking protocol test set equipments. RFC related information to be used in test planning is highly desirable. Required Experience BE / B.Tech. (ECE/CSE) Degree. 7 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, test and automation. Good Experience In Python Is Required. Experience with Ixia/Spirent L2/L3 and TDM/CEM/Timing Test set equipments. Experience of AI tools are desirable.
