As an Assistant Controller (Global Region), your role involves supporting the Controller (US) in overseeing financial operations across multiple international offices. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, adherence to global regulatory requirements, and the development of efficient financial processes. It is essential for you to have a solid understanding of global finance operations, multi-currency accounting, and compliance with international tax and reporting standards. Key Responsibilities: - Support the preparation and accuracy of financial statements for all international offices in compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable standards. - Assist with timely month-end and year-end closing processes. - Coordinate with external auditors to support audit requirements across regions. - Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure compliance with global tax laws, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions. - Participate in the global budgeting process and assist in consolidating financial data across regions. - Monitor financial performance metrics including cash flow, profitability, and budget variances. - Provide support for financial forecasting and scenario analysis. - Assist in managing global cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity. - Support initiatives to optimize working capital and streamline fund transfers across international entities. - Help monitor foreign exchange exposures and support hedging strategies. - Maintain accurate accounting records for transactions involving multiple currencies across global entities. - Ensure compliance with currency conversion policies, FX rate applications, and related accounting treatment. - Work with finance teams to reconcile currency gains/losses and ensure accurate reporting. - Identify and support improvements in financial processes to drive global consistency and efficiency. - Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies across regions. - Assist in ERP and financial system integrations and upgrades. - Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure consistency in financial practices and reporting. - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior finance team members. - Act as a liaison between regional teams and senior leadership on financial matters. - Assist in preparing financial analysis to support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. - Support business risk assessments and cost-benefit analysis for international projects. - Contribute to strategic financial planning efforts in collaboration with senior finance leadership. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Masters or MBA preferred). - CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred. - 6-10 years of relevant finance or accounting experience in a multinational environment. - Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and international taxation. - Experience with multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange management. - Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools. - Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.,
