Job Description

As a Vision Mixer/VMix Operator at our company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of video production. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing and operating broadcast video systems such as consoles, routing, and signal processing equipment in studio and remote production settings. - Configuring and overseeing vision mixer, Vmix across control rooms, studios, and transmission systems. - Maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading broadcast video infrastructure including vision mixer, routers, patch bays, and production automation. - Working closely with bulletin directors, producers, and technical teams to execute live and recorded video production with pristine quality. - Performing live mixing for TV shows, news, sports, and special events, effects, and remote feeds. - Training and mentoring freelance operators on equipment, workflows, and best practices. - Collaborating with IT, video engineering, and transmission teams for seamless integration. - Participating in maintenance schedules, system testing, and broadcast rehearsals. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum 10 years of experience in Vision Mixing and 5 years of experience as a Vmix operator. - Experience working in a production control room environment (PCR/Gallery). - Excellent knowledge of Vmix automation. - Proficiency in live Vision Mixing, configuring the desk (Vmix and Vision Mixer), creating multiple windows and DVEs. - Knowledge of Timeline and Macros in the vision mixing desk are essential. - Experience in multi-camera events, operating video equipment and software, different camera angles, and calling shots. - Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask effectively, excellent problem-solving skills. - Good communication and collaboration skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. - Planning and executing pre-event and post-event operations meetings. - Experience in news direction and knowledge of audio mixing will be advantageous. - Basic knowledge of IT/IP connectivity is also required.
