MSSQL DBA Administrator

As a Database Administrator, your role will involve engineering and automating various database platforms and services. You will assist in rationalizing the technology and usage of databases and contribute to the creation and implementation of operational policies, procedures & documentation. Additionally, you will provide database administration and production support for databases hosted on private cloud across all regions, handle database version upgrades and security patching, perform performance tuning, and manage database replication administration. Collaboration with development teams to design and implement database solutions for new and existing applications is also a key aspect of your responsibilities. Moreover, you must be willing to work during weekends and non-office hours as part of a wider scheduled support group, and exhibit a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. Key Responsibilities: - Engineer and automate various database platforms and services. - Assist in rationalizing the technology and usage of databases. - Participate in creating and implementing operational policies, procedures & documentation. - Provide database administration and production support for databases hosted on private cloud. - Handle database version upgrades and security patching. - Perform performance tuning. - Manage database replication administration. - Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions. - Be willing to work during weekends and non-office hours. - Exhibit a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. Qualifications Required: - At least 10 years of experience in MSSQL DBA administration. - Proficiency in navigating Linux operating systems and utilizing command-line tools. - Clear understanding of MSSQL availability group. - Exposure to scripting languages like Python and automation tools like Ansible. - Effective troubleshooting skills. - Ability to work well under pressure. - Strong organizational skills and practical sense. - Quick and eager to learn and explore both technical and semi-technical work types. - Engineering mindset. The above-mentioned skills and experience are mandatory for this role. Additionally, experience or knowledge in MySQL and Oracle, infrastructure automation development, and monitoring systems/log management/reporting tools like Loki, Grafana, and Splunk would be considered advantageous.,
