MSSQL DBA Administrator

You will be responsible for engineering and automating various database platforms and services. You will assist in rationalizing the technology and usage of databases. Additionally, you will play a key role in creating and implementing operational policies, procedures, and documentation. Your duties will include providing database administration and production support for databases hosted on private cloud across all regions, performing database version upgrades and security patching, as well as performance tuning and database replication administration. Collaboration with development teams will be essential, where you will utilize your coding skills to design and implement database solutions for new and existing applications. You should be prepared to work on weekends and non-office hours as part of a wider scheduled support group. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies is crucial for this role. Required Skills: - Minimum 10 years of experience in MSSQL DBA administration - Proficiency in navigating Linux operating systems and using command-line tools - Clear understanding of MSSQL availability group - Exposure to scripting languages like Python and automation tools like Ansible - Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work well under pressure - Organizational skills and practical sense - Quick learner with an engineering mindset Preferred Skills (not mandatory): - Experience in MySQL and Oracle - Knowledge of Infrastructure Automation Development - Familiarity with monitoring systems and log management/reporting tools such as Loki, Grafana, and Splunk Your role as a Database Administrator will require a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to handling database-related tasks.,
