Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Understanding of database architecture, normalization, and schema design.
Creating scalable and efficient database architectures.
Writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
Optimize queries and improve database performance.
Working with developers, analysts, and administrators to integrate databases with applications.
Performing regular backups, updates, and troubleshooting issues.
Monitor system performance and ensure infrastructure security, identifying and resolving potential risks promptly.
Work closely with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, ensuring system reliability and continuous availability.
Update support and operational documentation as required
Ensure good Change management practice is implemented as specified by central standards.

Requirements and Skills:

Proven 8+ years work experience with systems like Microsoft SQL Server
Familiarity with tools like SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
Experience with Git or other source control tools.
Familiarity with cloud-based databases on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with code and version control systems such as Git.
Strong understanding of CI/CD and available tools
Experience with Azure DevOps and understanding of Agile methodologies.
