Motion Designer

Role Overview: As a motion designer at Skunkworks, you will play a crucial role in bringing stories to life through captivating animations. Your understanding of the core principles of animation such as timing, spacing, easing, arcs, and anticipation will be key in pushing the boundaries of motion graphics. Working alongside the core motion team, you will be involved in crafting animations for various events, launches, and experiences showcased on large screens. Collaboration with design, video, Unreal, and C4D teams, as well as the sound designer, will be a regular part of your work, allowing you to create everything from subtle micro-interactions to impactful moments. Key Responsibilities: - Bring stories to life through captivating animations by applying core animation principles. - Craft animations for events, launches, and experiences showcased on large screens. - Collaborate with design, video, Unreal, and C4D teams, as well as the sound designer to create diverse visual styles and storytelling formats. - Enhance skills and familiarize yourself with workflows during the initial 3-month probation/training period. - Demonstrate deep understanding of motion theory and animation principles through compelling reel or project work. - Utilize tools such as After Effects, Blender, C4D, or Notch to create high-quality animations. - Add value to your role with a background in sketching, experience in animating to music, voice, or rhythm, and a keen eye for clean graphs and smooth easing. - Show a long-term commitment to building a successful career in motion design. Qualifications Required: - Deep understanding of motion theory and animation principles. - Proficiency in tools such as After Effects, with additional experience in Blender, C4D, or Notch considered advantageous. - Background in sketching is an added benefit. - Experience in animating to music, voice, or rhythm. - Keen eye for clean graphs and smooth easing. - Long-term commitment to building a successful career in motion design.,
