Monitoring support Engineer

L1 Monitoring Support Engineer (24*7)

Position Overview:

We are seeking L1 Resource to join our team. This team will do monitoring of server

infrastructure including ESXi, virtual machines, storages, backups and designated applications

For Eg: UPI, IMPS, ATM, etc. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure availability,

performance, and reliability of infrastructure and various applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring

• Monitor and respond to alerts and notifications from monitoring tools
• Perform routine maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with L2 resources to resolve issues and escalate complex problems to L3

resources as needed

• Document knowledge and procedures in a knowledge management system
• Vendor management (For support cases logged)
• Various Dashboard monitoring and escalation to respective stake holders to bring it to

closure.

Qualifications:

Education: Any degree. (Preferable BTech)

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience working as L1
• Basic understanding of VMware architecture, configuration and troubleshooting,

identify potential issues, and take corrective actions to prevent downtime.

• Experience with VMware troubleshooting tools, such as ESXi logs and vCenter

performance charts

• Basic understanding of Storage, Backup and Replication technologies
• Basic understanding of Asset/Lifecycle management
• Any certification in relevant area is preferred.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with IT service management tools

Work Environment:

Engineer should be available on-site on 24/7 shifts. Engineer should support planned activities

such as Patching, migrations etc.
