Mongo DB Administrator

You will be joining AHOM Technologies Private Limited in Gurgaon as a full-time on-site Mongo DB Administrator. Your primary responsibilities will include database administration, database design, troubleshooting, and database replication on a day-to-day basis. Your key responsibilities will involve managing MongoDB databases across multiple environments by installing, configuring, and maintaining them. You will monitor database health, performance, and resource utilization, as well as perform backups, restores, and recovery operations. Implementing and maintaining MongoDB replication and sharding for high availability and scalability will also be part of your role. In terms of performance optimization, you will monitor query performance, create appropriate indexes, and optimize queries. Managing and optimizing database schema design for high performance and efficient storage will be crucial. You will proactively identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot database-related issues. Ensuring security and compliance will be essential, including implementing database security policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and patching MongoDB installations regularly for security purposes. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing robust backup and recovery strategies, conducting regular tests, and planning for database disaster recovery. Automation and scripting will play a significant role in your tasks, as you will need to automate routine database tasks, develop scripts and tools to streamline operations, and support maintenance and upgrades. You will apply MongoDB updates, patches, and hotfixes, plan and execute version upgrades, and maintain comprehensive documentation of the MongoDB infrastructure. To excel in this role, you should possess strong skills in Database Administration, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and Database Design. Experience in working with databases and replication, knowledge of MongoDB and related technologies, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential. A relevant certification in MongoDB or database administration, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, will be advantageous.
