Job Title: Lead Product Engineer – Automotive Industry Location: BAWAL HARYANA Department: Product Engineering Reports To: [Engineering Manager / Head of Product Development] Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of automotive components/systems (e.g., engine components, plastic parts, HVAC, fuel systems, etc.). Manage CAD deliverables, DFMEA, DVP, and technical documentation. Interface with cross-functional teams (design, validation, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers) to ensure timely project execution. Drive innovation, cost optimization, and weight reduction initiatives through design improvements. Ensure product compliance with customer specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards. Support prototype build, validation testing, and problem-solving during development phases. Mentor and guide junior engineers in technical problem-solving and best practices. Handle customer interactions, technical presentations, and design reviews. Ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones with focus on quality and robustness. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Production Engineering or related field. 8+ years of experience in automotive product development (design, validation, or engineering). Strong knowledge of CAD tools (Creo / Catia / NX) and PLM systems (Teamcenter, Enovia, etc.). Experience with GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, and PPAP processes. Knowledge of materials (plastics, metals, composites) and manufacturing processes. Exposure to customer interaction and global project execution. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
