Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance of running injection machine moulds based on planned schedules.
Handle assembly and disassembly of moulds, ensuring all components are in good condition and functional.
Analyse root causes of mould issues and perform effective troubleshooting and resolution.
Maintain history cards for each mould, including records of maintenance, parts replacement, and issues encountered.
Manage and track critical spare parts inventory.
Perform breakdown maintenance and make real-time decisions to bring moulds back into production swiftly.
Handle hot runner systems, ensuring correct assembly and troubleshooting during performance issues.
Use hand tools such as filing, polishing, deburring tools, etc., for fine-tuning and mould surface correction.
Apply basic metrology using instruments like micrometres, VMS, height gauges for part inspection and validation.
Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure tooling supports desired output.
Ensure safety and precision during all maintenance operations.

Additional Skills & Knowledge:

Knowledge of CNC machining concepts and mould design feasibility.
Ability to read and interpret engineering and mould assembly drawings.
Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure maintenance scenarios.
Good communication skills and strong attention to detail and eyesight clarity.
Familiarity with 5S, TPM, or similar maintenance practices is an added advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma in Tool & Die Making
(Preferred from
NTTF, GT&TC, CTTC
or similar reputed institutions)

Experience:

2 to 4 years of experience in injection mould maintenance
