Mold Design & Manufacturing Engineer

As a Mold Design and Manufacturing Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and manufacturing molds for our products. Your expertise in medical-grade materials, precision tolerances, and manufacturing techniques that meet strict quality standards will be crucial for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Review existing 3D CAD designs and convert them into production-ready mold designs. - Develop and oversee the manufacturing of molds, including injection molds and precision machining. - Collaborate with the design team to select suitable medical-grade materials (such as stainless steel, titanium, biocompatible plastics) for various products. - Work closely with the product development team to refine designs for manufacturability (DFM). - Ensure compliance with medical manufacturing standards and regulations. - Provide guidance on tolerances, finishes, and surface treatments for medical applications. - Ensure timely delivery of molds to specification. Requirements: - Proven experience in mold design and manufacturing, preferably for medical devices. - Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software. - Familiarity with medical-grade materials and their processing characteristics. - Understanding of regulatory and quality standards in the medical industry. - Excellent problem-solving and technical skills. - Ability to manage projects from design to production. - Experience in precision machining and micro molding. - Knowledge of surface finishes and coatings used in medical devices. - Previous work experience in surgical or medical products and devices.
