As a Mobile Engineer (React Native) specializing in Product & Data Analytics, you will have a significant impact on the Omzi app and its user experience. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around mobile app development, data analysis, and potentially backend and systems tasks. **Role Overview:** You will work closely with the founders, taking ownership of the React Native (Expo) mobile app and the analytics driving product decisions. Your efforts will play a crucial role in shaping how millions of users interact with the product over time. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Mobile App Engineering (Primary)** - Own the development of the React Native (Expo) app for both iOS and Android platforms - Develop new features comprehensively from screens and navigation to state management and API integration - Focus on optimizing app performance, startup time, and responsiveness - Ensure smooth releases to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store - **Data & Product Analytics (Primary)** - Implement app instrumentation for analytics including events, funnels, cohorts, retention, and crashes - Utilize tools like Firebase and PostHog for data analysis - Design and execute A/B tests to enhance activation, engagement, and retention metrics - Write efficient SQL/Python queries to analyze user behavior and feature impact - Translate raw data into actionable insights and recommendations for the team - **Backend & Systems (Secondary)** - Collaborate on Python backend services and APIs supporting the app - Contribute to database design and performance enhancements - Assist in troubleshooting complex issues across the technology stack when necessary **Additional Details:** If you possess exceptional skills, you may have the opportunity to contribute to: - Building AI-driven capabilities - EQ (Emotional Intelligence) modeling - Short-term and long-term memory systems You are expected to be proficient in frontend and backend technologies on Expo, with a keen interest in data, analytics, and A/B testing.
