Role & responsibilities

The post holder will: - The Quality Engineers works with Architects, Solution Designers, Developers, Product Owners, Project Managers and others to help ensure high quality and timely delivery on multiple implementations of changes in product centric delivery model. - The Quality Engineers plans and executes manual/automated/Non-Functional testing throughout the development cycle and against multiple and varying technologies and application under tests, throughout the project, and communicates frequently with team members regarding quality status, and helps to resolve test impacts and issues to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction. - Quality Engineers are responsible to implementing quality assessments throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure high standards in product-centric delivery. This involves evaluating and verifying the quality at each phase, from initial planning and design to development, testing, and deployment. Their goal is to maintain and enhance the product's quality, ensuring it meets both functional and non-functional requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting test outcomes. Participates in requirement, design and specification reviews, and uses this information to design test plans and test conditions. UK Market Unit. Applies agreed standards to specify and perform manual and automated testing. Automates testing tasks and builds test coverage through existing or new infrastructure. Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues and risks. BPTS Acceptance Testing Follows agreed standards and techniques to devise and execute test cases and scenarios based on predefined acceptance criteria. Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues and risks. RELM Release Management Supports the planning and scheduling of releases. Coordinates release activities with relevant teams. Follows defined release processes and procedures. Participates in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure releases meet standards. Identifies and resolves issues related to the release process. Documents and reports on release outcomes and communicates findings to stakeholders. 3. Technical Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required - A background in software analysis or software development or IS project from relevant business area is necessary. - ISTQB Software Testing Foundation or Intermediate Certification - Experience in mobile app testing - Experience in mobile app automation using APPIUM - Total years of experience should be 2-7 years - Relevant experience should not be less than 2 years - Good understanding of Cloud technology (Google and Azure), Microsoft CRM, Window and UNIX server, Web & App platforms. - Person must have an excellent problem-solving approach, be a self-starter, good communicator, good collaboration skills and team player, business oriented and must have skills in producing documentation - Understanding of Non-Functional testing like Performance testing, Accessibility Testing, Visual Testing - The ability to demonstrate: o Consistent delivery of testing on time and to budget o Problem solving and Risk management o Change management o Quality custodian in software development life cycle - Understanding of: - Project development lifecycle (s) i.e. SDLC, ADLC, IDLC - Structured approach to QA analysis - A strong delivery focus - Managing quality engineering activities - Business and IS strategy knowledge - Good Quality Engineering skills covering Functional, API, Automation and non functional testing .
