Mobile app Tester

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Requirement Understanding: Review app requirements, clarify expected behavior with dev/product team, and identify critical use cases (e.g., login, payments).

• Test Planning: Define scope, methods, and platforms for testing; prepare device/OS checklist; plan cross-platform testing (Android & iOS).

• Test Case Writing: Draft positive, negative, and edge case scenarios; maintain test documentation.

• Functional Testing: Verify all features (signup, login, payments, etc.), UI/UX flow, and data validation.

• Compatibility Testing: Ensure app works across devices, OS versions, and screen orientations.

• Usability Testing: Evaluate ease of use, navigation, and user experience; suggest improvements.

• Performance Testing: Check app load speed, stability, resource consumption, and crash handling.

• Security Testing: Validate data protection, authentication flows, and login/logout security.

• Bug Reporting: Document issues with screenshots/recordings; retest after fixes.

• Regression Testing: Recheck existing features after updates/bug fixes.

• App Store Readiness: Verify compliance with Play Store & App Store guidelines; test installation, updates, and uninstallation.

• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Support product owner with final validation and launch checklist.

• Post-Release Testing: Monitor live issues, gather feedback, and support updates/patches.

Qualifications:

• Experience in mobile app testing (Android & iOS).

• Strong knowledge of testing tools, bug tracking systems, and QA processes.

• Detail-oriented with problem-solving mindset.
