Mobile (Android/Kotlin) Solution Engineer

As a Mobile (Android/Kotlin) Solution Engineer at NTT DATA, your role will be crucial in developing end-to-end solutions for mobile applications. The Mobility Solutions Architect position requires you to own and communicate the architectural vision of the solution, encompassing mobile systems, development platforms, integration methodologies, and a comprehensive understanding of mobile technologies and industry trends. Once you join the team, you will have the opportunity to: - Formulate, conceptualize, and execute mobile solutions across all channels for customers - Architect, develop, and guide teams in creating mobile applications for various form factors and resolutions - Provide pre-sales support by solutioning and estimating efforts for complex asks from customers in different domains - Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of the software design and validate it against the system architecture specification - Understand client needs, project output, and ensure compliance with industry best practices - Assist clients and customers in implementing enterprise solutions - Participate in the system specification review process to ensure valid software design translation - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver applications and solutions - Be responsible for app design, code review, and mentoring developers Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in mobile application development - 5+ years of experience in Android app development with Kotlin - Minimum 2+ years of Kotlin Compose experience - 2+ years with Jetpack components such as ViewModel, LiveData, RoomDatabase, WorkManager - 4+ years of experience with application architectures like MVC, MVVM, MVP, Rest API development/integrations, SVN/Git/Bitbucket - Bachelors Degree or equivalent combined 4 years of work and education experience Preferred Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience guiding a small team of mobile developers - 2+ years of using a shared KMP library for code-behind functionality - Experience developing and implementing end-to-end architecture to support user interface concepts based on industry best practices - Experience in Rest API development and integrations, offline storage, cloud message APIs, push notifications, UI/UX design, test-driven design and development, CI/CD, and developing reusable components Ideal Mindset: - Lifelong Learner: Always seeking to improve technical and nontechnical skills - Team Player: Willing to go the extra mile to help teammates succeed - Communicator: Able to effectively communicate design ideas to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, prioritizing critical information NTT DATA is a $30 billion global innovator of business and technology services, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
