We are looking for a technically strong and experienced Dy. Manager / Manager Toolroom responsible for the design, development, and execution of jigs and fixtures used in precision machining. The role involves close coordination with production and machining teams to deliver reliable and efficient workholding solutions for various machine types and operations. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge and practical hands-on experience in operating and supervising toolroom machines such as lathe, milling, surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, along with fitting, assembly, and try-out of fixtures. Key Responsibilities Design and develop jigs and fixtures for VMC (including 4-axis and 5-axis machines) Develop tooling solutions for HMC machines Create and validate fixtures for CNC turning machines Design and support fixture development for cylindrical grinding machines Operate and supervise toolroom machinery for in-house fixture development and modification Carry out precise fitting, assembly, and inspection of fixtures to ensure functional accuracy Work closely with production, machining, and QC teams to understand tooling requirements Troubleshoot fixture-related issues during trials and actual production Continuously improve fixture designs to reduce setup time and increase productivity Maintain and manage documentation for tooling designs and revisions Required Skills and Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Making Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in toolroom and jig/fixture development Proficient in operating lathe, milling, surface grinding, and cylindrical grinding machines Strong understanding of fixture assembly, clamping principles, and machining accuracy Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent Sound knowledge of GD&T, machining tolerances, and production processes Experience in handling multi-axis machining and high-precision tooling projects Leadership ability to guide technicians and manage concurrent tooling jobs effectively

Role Overview Mindrill is seeking an experienced candidate to oversee the complete plant maintenance function. The role covers CNC and conventional machines, grinding operations, toolroom equipment, and utilities . The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Fanuc & Siemens CNC systems, multi-type grinding machines, and precision tooling machines , along with proven leadership in utility and shop-floor maintenance. Key Responsibilities 1. CNC & Conventional Machines Lead preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC machines (VMC, HMC, Turning Centers, SPMs, 5-axis machines). Troubleshoot and repair Fanuc and Siemens control systems including PLC, drives, and motors. Oversee installation, commissioning, and calibration of CNC and conventional machines. 2. Grinding Operations (Core Area) Manage conventional grinding, NC grinding, and CNC grinding machines . Ensure uptime and accuracy in cylindrical grinding, internal grinding, and surface grinding machines. Lead maintenance of high-precision grinding equipment to support toolroom and production requirements. 3. Toolroom & Special Machines Ensure availability of broaching machines, gundrill machines, jig boring, milling, turning, and other toolroom equipment . Oversee maintenance of auxiliary machines: shot blasting, deburring, welding, riveting, forging presses, trimming, and cutting machines . 4. Utilities & Plant Equipment Maintain generators, compressors, overhead cranes, HVAC systems, fire hydrant systems, and air handling units . Ensure statutory inspections, AMC vendor coordination, and energy efficiency projects. Implement predictive maintenance schedules for utilities to avoid unplanned downtime. 5. People Leadership & Systems Lead and mentor the maintenance team; conduct training on advanced diagnostics and safety. Drive TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and safety systems across the maintenance department. Monitor MTBF, MTTR, breakdown percentage , and ensure >95% equipment uptime. Develop and enforce SOPs and emergency protocols for maintenance activities. 6. Cost & Inventory Control Manage spare parts inventory with ABC/FSN analysis to minimize stockouts and costs. Develop local vendors for spares and consumables to reduce lead times and import costs. Track maintenance budgets, optimize energy usage, and implement cost-saving initiatives. Required Skills & Competencies Strong expertise in Fanuc and Siemens-controlled CNC machines . In-depth knowledge of grinding technologies (conventional, NC, CNC; cylindrical, internal, and surface) . Experience in maintenance of broaching, gundrill, and precision toolroom machines . Hands-on expertise in utilities: generators, compressors, cranes, HVAC, fire safety systems . Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and vendor management capabilities. Familiarity with TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and industrial safety standards .
