Migration | DevOps Engineer

Role Overview: As a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead projects, design technical solutions, and mentor junior engineers. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong technical background who aspires to grow into a senior leadership position. You will work independently to drive key initiatives while collaborating with development, QA, and security teams to enhance our overall software delivery lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions. - Lead the deployment and management of containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in our cloud environments. - Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of our AWS infrastructure. - Establish and refine monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack to ensure system reliability and performance. - Identify and automate repetitive tasks to enhance team efficiency and reduce manual effort. - Independently lead key DevOps projects from inception to completion, taking full ownership of the technical solution and its outcomes. - Serve as a technical point of contact for specific projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align on requirements and deliverables. - Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical assistance and promoting best practices. - Conduct code reviews for IaC and scripting to ensure quality and adherence to security standards. - Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to integrate DevOps practices early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Participate in incident management and root cause analysis, recommending and implementing preventive measures. - Continuously evaluate and propose new tools and technologies to enhance our DevOps capabilities. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. - Master's degree or equivalent advanced degree preferred. - Experience with Kubernetes on AWS EKS and related AWS networking integrations. - Familiarity with Helm, Kubernetes ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Ingress controllers. - Understanding of service discovery and DNS-based routing in Kubernetes. - Exposure to compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) and security tooling.
