MIG Welder

As a MIG Welder at our company, your role involves performing MIG welding operations on sheet metal components according to job requirements. You will be responsible for reading and understanding engineering drawings, welding symbols, and tolerances. Setting up welding machines with correct wire feed, gas flow, and parameters is crucial. Inspecting workpieces visually and dimensionally to ensure weld quality and accuracy is also part of your duties. Additionally, you will be required to perform grinding, finishing, and polishing of welds when necessary. Operating basic sheet metal fabrication tools like grinders, measuring instruments, jigs & fixtures is essential. Maintaining cleanliness and organizing the welding work area, tools & equipment are key responsibilities. Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, and company quality standards, as well as reporting material shortages, equipment breakdowns, or nonconformance issues, are vital for this role. Your qualifications for this position include having 2+ years of experience in MIG Welding for sheet metal fabrication. A good knowledge of measurement tools such as Vernier, gauges, tape, angle meter, etc., is required. You should be capable of working independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate holds an ITI (Welder) / Diploma in Welding or relevant trade certification.
