Job Description

Role Overview: You will be working on-site at the Bangalore office, collaborating closely with the customer team in Houston, following Agile principles. The developed product is a leading software system in the Energy domain, catering to all aspects of Oil & Gas production from geological exploration to optimizing ongoing operations. Your role will involve providing engineering support in drilling and completions, ensuring product quality assessment, contributing as a software tester, developing test cases, validating product functionality, and identifying and tracking bugs through resolution and implementation. Additionally, you will work with Subject Matter Experts to define key end-user workflows and maintain test environments. Key Responsibilities: - Provide engineering support in drilling and completions area to the DWP team. - Conduct objective assessment of Product Quality. - Act as an active Software Tester on the Team to deliver product stories. - Develop Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria. - Write comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality. - Contribute during Sprint Planning to discuss and accommodate all Testing concerns in story sizing. - Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define key End User Workflows. - Define, create, and maintain Test environments. - Validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories. - Ensure Development changes do not impact other associated areas of Functionality. - Identify, communicate, and document Bugs consistently. - Track Bugs through resolution and implementation. - Verify Bugs are resolved as per Bug Definition. Qualification Required: - Bachelor or Master Degree from a recognized university in petroleum, Geophysics, Geology, or chemical engineering with a minimum GPA of 7.5 and above. - Minimum 2 years of QA experience (Experience with Oil and Gas Upstream applications preferred). - Good understanding of upstream applications, with knowledge of basic wells engineering concepts. - Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, Wellplan, Compass will be advantageous. - Basic understanding of Framework creation using any Automation tool. - Familiarity with SDLC/STLC processes and various testing types. - ISTQB foundation level certified (Optional). - Proficiency in Test Case creation, Defect, and Test Management tools. - Comfortable with Agile methodologies. - Excellent Communication Skills.,
