Job Description

As a Software Tester in the Energy domain, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of the leading software system for Oil & Gas production. Working on-site in the Bangalore office and closely collaborating with the customer team in Houston, you will follow Agile principles to deliver high-quality solutions. You will join a senior, supportive, and friendly team dedicated to excellence in the industry. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide engineering support to the DWP team in drilling and completions area - Conduct objective assessments of Product Quality - Act as an active Software Tester to deliver product stories - Develop Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria - Write comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality - Contribute to Sprint Planning to address Testing concerns and ensure story sizing - Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to define key End User Workflows - Create and maintain Test environments - Validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories - Ensure Development changes do not impact other associated areas of Functionality - Identify, communicate, and document Bugs consistently - Track Bugs through resolution and implementation - Verify Bug resolution according to Bug Definition **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor or Master Degree in petroleum, Geophysics, Geology, or chemical engineering with a minimum GPA of 7.5 - Minimum 2 years of QA experience, preferably with Oil and Gas Upstream applications - Good understanding of upstream applications, preferred experience with EDT Applications - Knowledge of basic wells engineering concepts including well construction, drilling techniques, well completions, etc. - Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, Wellplan, Compass is advantageous - Basic understanding of Framework creation using Automation tools - Familiarity with SDLC/STLC processes and various testing types - ISTQB foundation level certification is optional - Proficiency in Test Case creation, Defect and Test Management tools (Azure DevOps/TFS, JIRA) - Comfort with Agile methodologies - Excellent Communication Skills **Nice-to-Have Skills:** - Experience with web applications test automation, API testing, Performance testing, Azure\AWS cloud services Languages: - English: B2 Upper Intermediate,
