Job Description

SSOE works with the worlds leading high-tech companies to power technology at our fingertips from smart phones to smart cars and meet the ongoing global chip demand. We are looking to hire a Mid-level Designer (Machine design) to our team, who will have the opportunity to participate in the design of state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities. He/she will working with other contributing design teams, and Sr. Project Managers to create and problem-solve exciting and complex designs that incorporate some of the latest design techniques, while ensuring that all specifications are met, and to ensure timely completion of projects. Responsibilities The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment. Performs a variety of routine engineering assignments under the direction of a supervisor with increasing responsibility based on performance. Works under the direction of a supervisor on specific and limited portions of a broader assignment that requires some supervision. Ability to read P&IDs, pull the necessary data and transfer to equipment & piping design utilizing standard design techniques and use industry best practices. Drafts interpretation of own design into completed working drawings and applies engineering fundamentals to design. Performs routine calculations related to Machine design. Study SSOE and clients CAD standard and demonstrate attention to detail. Organizes and maintains project design records. Organize maintenance spare parts and structure them in clients SAP system. Communicates with supervisor concerning progress or problems in an assigned task. Qualification Diploma or certification in mechanical discipline from an accredited institute. Autodesk Inventor 3D and AutoCAD 2D experience mandatory. Plant 3D experience a plus. 5-7 years of experience in design field. Experience with Material Handling equipment, packaging equipment, ductwork systems, fabrication weldments. Experience with SAP system is a plus. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should be familiar with international codes and standards (preferably USA codes). Willing to work in the late evening hours to attend meetings with US counterpart & as per project requirement.
