Duties & Responsibility - Work closely with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. - Perform initial patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and current complaints. - Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the medical team. - Administer medications as prescribed by doctors, ensuring the correct dosage and route. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing notes and medication administration records. - Insert and manage intravenous lines (IV) for patients requiring fluids, medications, or blood products. - Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections within the hospital. - Ensure that patients receive appropriate nutrition, which may involve monitoring dietary restrictions or administering enteral feeding. - Assist in discharge planning by coordinating follow-up care, arranging home health services, and providing discharge instructions. - Provide emotional support to patients and families, especially during stressful times. - Stay updated with the latest nursing practices, technologies, and healthcare trends through ongoing education and training.
