Job Title – Design Engineer (Fabrication Drawings) Industry: Infrastructure / Engineering / Heavy Steel Fabrication Company: M.G. Contractors Private Limited Location: Varanasi - Near Airport Requirements: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Civil / Structural Engineering. 3–7 years’ experience in structural steel detailing & fabrication drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD / Tekla / Bocad (certification preferred). Knowledge of IS codes, welding symbols, bolted/welded connections. Understanding of fabrication processes, tolerances & BOM preparation. Responsibilities: Prepare fabrication, assembly & erection drawings from GA/design inputs. Develop BOM, cutting plans & material lists for procurement. Ensure drawings are accurate, fabrication-friendly & compliant with codes. Coordinate with Design Head & production teams for approvals/clarifications. Maintain revision control & documentation. Key Skills: Strong drafting & detailing skills with accuracy. Ability to visualize 3D structures from 2D drawings. Good communication & problem-solving ability. Deliverables: Shop-ready error-free drawings. Optimized BOM & cutting plans. Timely release of drawings to match production schedules.
