We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to lead a cross-functional development team within the Corporate Solutions organization. Role: Hands on Building performant, scalable and secure web applications. Provide leadership, guidance and direction on systems and web application architecture and system design. Guide and coach less experienced engineers. Focus on user-centered design. Spearhead design, technical and code reviews. Implement coding standards and approaches. Promote an Agile approach to software development. Insist on a culture of continuous integration and delivery, automation and minimizing blast radius. Collaborate with teams across the organization to mitigate risk and resolve dependencies. All About You: Successfully designed and developed externally facing web applications utilizing modern single page application frameworks. Angular and React JS preferred. Good understanding of JavaScript and it s benefits and quirks. Proven experience building ADA and WCAG compliant web applications. Successfully designed and developed cloud ready REST APIs utilizing industry best practices. Good understanding of Cloud Architecture and it s benefits and quirks. Good understanding of Messaging frameworks and event-based architecture and it s benefits and quirks. Possess an understanding of multi-tier web development, including knowledge of server-side technologies and databases. Understanding of web application optimizations such as progressive web apps, web workers, browser repaints and reflows, performance and memory optimizations, debugging memory leaks, caching, flame graphs. Experience and knowledge of authentication and authorization workflows using concepts like JWT. Have proficiency in Quality engineering and experience working with Quality leads to define processes and technologies. Passion for improving code quality using approaches such as unit and end to end testing. Deep knowledge of Continuous Integration and Delivery and toolsets that provide this ability. Understanding of agile principles and methodologies and experience implementing and adapting them to fit the team s needs. Use and understand Git based source control systems. As a Senior Associate L2 in Data Engineering , you'll be responsible for translating client requirements into technical designs and implementing components for data engineering solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of data integration and big data design principles to create custom solutions or implement package solutions. You'll independently drive design discussions to ensure the robust health of the overall solution. Your Impact: What You'll Achieve Contribute to Data Ingestion, Integration, and Transformation . Work with Data Storage and Computation Frameworks , focusing on performance optimizations. Support Analytics & Visualizations . Develop solutions related to Infrastructure & Cloud Computing . Engage with Data Management Platforms . Build functionality for data ingestion from multiple heterogeneous sources in both batch and real-time. Build functionality for data analytics, search, and aggregation . Qualifications: Your Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in Big Data technologies. Hands-on experience with the Hadoop stack , including HDFS, Sqoop, Kafka, Pulsar, NiFi, Spark, Spark Streaming, Flink, Storm, Hive, Oozie, Airflow , and other components necessary for building end-to-end data pipelines. Working knowledge of real-time data pipelines is an added advantage. Strong experience in at least one programming language : Java, Scala, or Python , with Java being preferable . Hands-on working knowledge of NoSQL and MPP data platforms like HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra, AWS Redshift, Azure SQLDW, GCP BigQuery, etc. Well-versed and possess working knowledge of data platform-related services on Azure . Bachelor's degree and 6 to 8 years of work experience , or any combination of education, training, and/or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Set Yourself Apart With Good knowledge of traditional ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, etc.) and database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres) with hands-on experience. Knowledge of data governance processes (security, lineage, catalog) and tools like Collibra, Alation, etc. Knowledge of distributed messaging frameworks like ActiveMQ / RabbitMQ / Solace, search & indexing, and Microservices architectures. Experience in performance tuning and optimization of data pipelines . Cloud data specialty and other related Big Data technology certifications .
