As a Staff Engineer in our NextGen Engineering team, your key responsibility will be to enhance and maintain a dedicated engineering focus on the current versions of our products used by customers. You will collaborate with Product Owners to define requirements for new SaaS and mobile applications, guiding both Front End and Back End teams. The Staff Engineer will generate technical specifications, oversee code ownership, assign tasks, and review code before release. Working closely with the MAX Digital legacy teams, our NextGen Engineering team transforms core systems using state-of-the-art technologies. The ideal candidate will be strategic, capable of assuming an architectural role, and skilled at building consensus across the organization. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of top-tier automotive solutions. In this role, you will: - Support efforts to enhance the customer experience - Architect, deliver, and maintain systems with multiple components and services - Collaborate with software and production engineers to design scalable services - Influence engineering standards for tooling and best practices - Develop and implement lifecycle plans for tools - Contribute to technical aspects of products or services - Implement security standards and ensure compliance - Lead discussions to define requirements for products - Troubleshoot complex problems efficiently - Mentor and lead less experienced engineers - Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Requirements: - Fluent in English - BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field - 8+ years of experience in software development - Deep technical knowledge in various technologies - Experience leading initiatives across multiple teams - Proven background in API development and system design - Strong communication skills - Experience in a highly iterative environment - Experience with build and deployment automation - Experience in the automotive industry is a plus ACV Values: - Trust & Transparency - People First - Positive Experiences - Calm Persistence - Never Settling,
