MERN Developer (Web Engineer)

As a MERN Developer (Web Engineer) with 5-8 years of experience, you will be responsible for developing robust web applications in Bangalore following a Hybrid Model. You are expected to have a strong understanding of JavaScript concepts and be proficient in React.js, including component architecture, state management, hooks, and performance optimization such as useMemo and useCallback. Your expertise in Next.js should include skills in server-side rendering, routing, API routes, serverless functions, and page/image optimization. Fluency in TypeScript with experience in enterprise-scale projects is essential for this role. You should also be proficient in Node.js and Express, understanding concepts like the event loop, async patterns, middleware, REST APIs, error handling, API versioning, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Component Library like Storybook for reusable component design and usage. Experience with CI/CD processes, Docker containers, and at least one cloud platform like Azure, GCP, or AWS is required. Your knowledge should extend to working with databases including SQL (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase), as well as writing unit tests using tools like Jest, Vitest, Jasmine, etc. Experience in integrating middleware and 3rd-party tools, proactive debugging, and understanding security best practices like CSRF protection and secure auth are crucial. Nice to have skills include experience with E2E Testing tools like Playwright, Cypress, DevOps awareness, understanding of microservices and service-based architecture, working with GraphQL APIs, writing efficient and secure code, and familiarity with AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot. Optional skills such as Terraform, CMS like AEM or Kontent.ai, serverless functions, AI/ML integration, and knowledge of event-driven architecture are considered a bonus. This is a full-time or contractual/temporary position with a contract length of 24 months.
