Job Description

Role Overview: As a MERN Stack Accessibility Consultant at Capgemini, you will be responsible for designing and developing inclusive web applications that meet accessibility standards and provide seamless user experiences for all users. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility is embedded throughout the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Developing scalable and maintainable web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js). - Auditing and enhancing accessibility features across web platforms to comply with WCAG, ADA, and other standards. - Collaborating with designers, developers, and QA teams to implement accessible UI components. - Conducting accessibility testing using tools like Axe, Lighthouse, and screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver). - Educating teams on best practices for accessible design and development. - Creating documentation and guidelines to support accessibility initiatives. Qualifications Required: - Advanced proficiency in React.js & Redux for building dynamic and responsive user interfaces. - Expertise in Accessibility (a11y) Standards & Tools including WCAG, ARIA roles, semantic HTML, and tools like Axe, WAVE, and Lighthouse. - Strong backend development skills in Node.js & Express.js for building RESTful APIs and server-side logic. - Experience in designing and managing NoSQL databases like MongoDB. - Familiarity with testing & debugging tools like Jest, Cypress, and accessibility testing frameworks.,
