Job Description

Role Overview:

The MEP Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all mechanical aspects of MEP works for a hospital construction project. This includes HVAC systems, medical gas systems, fire-fighting, and other hospital-specific mechanical services, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Coordination:

    • Review and validate mechanical designs, BOQs, and technical submittals for HVAC, medical gas, and fire-fighting systems.
    • Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and plumbing teams for seamless integration of MEP services.
  • Execution & Monitoring:

    • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems at the site.
    • Ensure compliance with hospital-specific standards (NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA) and statutory regulations.
    • Conduct periodic inspections and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Project Management:

    • Support project scheduling, cost control, and billing verification.
    • Prepare progress reports and attend site meetings with consultants and contractors.
  • Quality & Safety:

    • Monitor adherence to quality standards and safety protocols during execution.
    • Ensure proper integration of BMS and energy-efficient solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

    • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma holders with relevant experience may apply).
  • Experience:

    • 58 years of experience in MEP mechanical execution for hospital or healthcare projects.
    • Prior experience in PMC or contracting environment preferred.
  • Technical Expertise:

    • Strong knowledge of hospital-specific systems (cleanroom HVAC, medical gas lines).
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit and project management tools.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
