MEP Engineer

You are a skilled Facility Manager with expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems and office interiors. Your primary responsibility will involve planning, designing, and overseeing interior fit-out projects, ensuring seamless coordination between civil and MEP services. Your key duties will include collaborating with MEP engineers to integrate HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems effectively. You will review MEP designs for compliance with local building codes and troubleshoot any installation issues, providing corrective actions where necessary. In project management and execution, you will be tasked with preparing BOQs, material specifications, and project schedules. You will liaise with architects, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely project delivery while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Your role will also encompass managing the installation of furniture, lighting, and modular setups for office interiors. You will focus on optimizing space planning and implementing ergonomic design solutions. Additionally, you will conduct post-completion inspections and manage defect rectifications efficiently. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and possess at least 7 years of experience in MEP coordination and office interiors. Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and Primavera will be advantageous. A strong grasp of building codes, safety regulations, and material specifications is essential, along with the ability to oversee multiple projects and collaborate with diverse teams. Preferred qualifications include prior involvement in commercial office fit-out projects and knowledge of sustainable building materials and energy-efficient solutions.
