Job Description

Role Overview: You will be part of the System Test team at Nutanix, responsible for test planning, test scenario design, test case development, and test automation suite development to enhance the quality of products. Your role will involve influencing product design, continuous improvement for system performance and scalability, and ensuring a quality-first mindset in development practices. Additionally, you will automate complex tests to simulate customer environments and workloads for performance and scalability evaluations. Key Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive test plans, create high-quality test cases, automate and execute tests to validate product functionality and performance - Enhance automation frameworks from both functional and non-functional perspectives and lead technically within the organization - Collaborate with developers to understand design and implementations for thorough testing of all features - Conduct manual and automated testing from API and UI perspectives to ensure feature quality - Support regression teams, maintain the Quality Index of released features, and ensure stability of existing automation test suites - Identify, document, and track defects until resolution to uphold software quality and integrity - Measure product quality in terms of functionality, scalability, high availability, and usability Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field - 5-8 years of Enterprise software QA and test automation experience - Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: Python/Perl/C/C++/Java (Python preferred) - Strong fundamentals in Linux Operating systems, Object-Oriented Programming, Algorithms, Data Structures, and Problem Solving - Understanding of virtualization concepts such as Compute/storage/network virtualization - Excellent skills in debugging complex distributed applications - Background in API and UI test automation - Good understanding of file system concepts and TCP-IP Suite of protocols Company Details: Nutanix is a global leader in cloud software and hyperconverged infrastructure solutions.
