Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of steel melting shop (Arc Furnace / Induction Furnace).
• Supervise charge mix preparation, melting, tapping, and refining.
• Ensure proper operation of Vacuum Degassing (VD/VOD) process for removal of gases (H₂, N₂, O₂).
• Monitor steel chemistry, temperature, and quality parameters.
• Coordinate with forging & quality teams to meet production requirements.
• Ensure safety standards, ISO & Factory Act compliance in melting shop.
• Train and guide operators on best melting practices.
• Control yield, energy consumption, and cost optimization.
• Maintain production reports, heat logs, and quality records.

Candidate Profile

• Degree/Diploma in Metallurgy / Mechanical / Production Engineering.
• 7–12 years’ experience in steel melting & refining operations.
• Strong knowledge of Vacuum Degassing, secondary refining, and ladle metallurgy.
• Exposure to forging grade steel production.
• Leadership and team-handling skills.
• Hands-on approach with problem-solving ability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,680.97 - ₹94,375.64 per month
